The Bada Bing from The Sopranos: Filming Location

This is the filming location of the "Bada Bing!" strip club from The Sopranos.

It is situated at 230 NJ-17 in Lodi, New Jersey.

The Bada Bing appears in most episodes of the show. Along with Satriale's, it serves as a key hangout spot for Tony and his crew.

Because the club is partly owned and run by Tony's consigliere, Silvio Dante, it is one of the few locations where the family feels safe enough to discuss business.

During the show, many important decisions are made at the bar or in Tony's office at the back.

For example, this is the place where Tony conspired with Silvio and Bobby to whack Lupertazzi boss Phil Leotardo. It is also the location where Tony decided to get rid of Richie Aprile.

Notably, neither of these hits went according to plan.

In the penultimate episode of the series, Silvio is gunned down in the parking lot by members of the Lupertazzi family.

In real life, the building is home to a go-go bar called Satin Dolls. Although the bar does feature dancing girls, nudity is not allowed.

This is because New Jersey state law does not allow establishments to sell alcohol at topless bars.

In other words, a business can only have one or the other.

Although all of the exterior and interior strip club shots were filmed at Satin Dolls, the scenes for Tony Soprano's back office were actually filmed at the Silvercup Studios in Long Island City.

In December 2017, the club was temporarily closed after state authorities claimed that the business was being run by a convicted racketeer who had ties to the Genovese crime family in New York. Afterwards, the club was forced to transfer the ownership of its liquor license.

When The Sopranos ended, the owners of Satin Dolls auctioned off a number of items from the interior. The pool table, the neon "men's room" sign, and the stripper poles all went under the hammer.

As soon as Gismonte mentions the pair's recent safe robbery, Tony immediately grabs him by the throat and says, "Jesus f**king Christ, you stupid little sh*t-eating twat. You ever hear of wiretaps?"

"We gotta do something to get ahead in this world."

When Ralph Cifaretto's son is rushed to the hospital following a bow-and-arrow accident, Paulie Gualtieri refuses to express any sympathy for him.

Earlier on in the episode, Ralphie made a prank phone call to Paulie's mother, during which he introduced himself as a police officer and told her that Paulie had been arrested for engaging in a lewd act with a club scout.

Although Paulie rightfully suspects that it was Ralphie who made the call, he does not have any solid proof that it was him.

This comment leads to an argument between the two. After a bit of back and forth, tempers flare up, and the pair have to be physically separated.

Shortly afterwards, Christopher storms out of the club. Paulie then states, "I'm telling you right now, it's finished with us."

He then berates Blundetto for threatening the family's neutrality by acting like a free agent.

At the time, Johnny Sack and Little Carmine were at war with each other. However, Tony wanted to stay out of it. By acting as an assassin for Little Carmine, Blundetto was putting the New Jersey family at risk of being dragged into the conflict.
