The Bada Bing from The Sopranos - Filming Location.

This is the filming location of the "Bada Bing!" strip club from The Sopranos.

It is situated at 230 NJ-17 in Lodi, New Jersey.

Throughout the show, the "Bada Bing!" features in most episodes. Along with Satriale's, it serves as a key meeting point for Tony and his crew.

Because the club is partly owned and run by Tony's consigliere, Silvio Dante, it is one of the few locations where the family will casually discuss its business.

During the show, many important decisions are made at the bar or in Tony's office at the back.

For example, this is the place where Tony conspired with Silvio and Bobby to whack Lupertazzi boss Phil Leotardo. It is also the location where Tony decided to "get rid of" Richie Aprile.

However, it is worth pointing out that both of these hits failed to go according to plan.

In the penultimate episode of the series, Silvio is gunned down in the parking lot by members of the Lupertazzi family.

Satin Dolls.

In real life, the building is home to a go-go bar called Satin Dolls. Although the bar does feature dancing girls, nudity is not allowed.

This is because New Jersey state law does not allow establishments to sell alcohol at topless bars.

In other words, a business can only have one or the other.

Although all of the exterior and interior strip club shots were filmed at Satin Dolls, the scenes for Tony's back office were actually filmed at the Silvercup Studios in Long Island City.

Trivia and other information.

  • In December of 2017, the club was temporarily closed after state authorities claimed that the business was being run by a convicted racketeer who had ties to the Genovese crime family in New York. Afterwards, the club was forced to transfer the ownership of its liquor license.
  • After the show ended, the owners of Satin Dolls auctioned off a number of items from the interior. The pool table, the neon "men's room" sign, and the stripper poles all went under the hammer.
  • On May 25th, 2021, New Jersey resident Marko Guberovic was killed outside of the club. According to news reports, Guberovic was assaulted by a group of five men and then left lying on the road. Shortly afterwards, he was struck by an unsuspecting motorist. The five men in question have been charged with manslaughter. In September of 2021, the motorist was charged with strict liability vehicular homicide after blood tests showed that he was intoxicated when he hit Guberovic.

Episode 9, Season 4 - Whoever Did This

I don't care if he's got a hundred kids in the ICU with arrows in their heads

When Ralph Cifaretto's son is rushed to hospital following a bow-and-arrow accident, Paulie Gualtieri is unable to feel any sympathy for him.

This is because earlier on in the episode, Ralphie made a prank phone call to Paulie's mother. During the call, Ralphie introduced himself as a police officer. He then proceeded to tell her that Paulie had been arrested for engaging in a lewd act with a club scout.

Although Paulie rightfully suspects that it was Ralphie who made the call, he does not have any solid proof that it was him.

Throughout the story, everyone is laughing and Paulie is adding his own comments.

However, the mood quickly turns sour when Christopher claims that the event only happened because Paulie "overreacted" by choking the Russian with a lamp.

This comment leads to an argument between the two. After a bit of back and forth, tempers flare up and the pair have to be physically separated.

Shortly afterwards, Christopher storms out of the Bada Bing. Paulie then states "I'm telling you right now, it's finished with us."

Episode 5, Season 5 - Irregular Around The Margins

Silvio Dante megaphone

In the episode "Irregular Around The Margins", Christopher Moltisanti is convinced that Tony Soprano has been sleeping with his girlfriend Adriana La Cerva.

However, Tony's crew were expecting Christopher to show up.

He then berates Blundetto for threatening the family's neutrality by acting like a free agent.
