The Brady Bunch house
Filming Location in North Hollywood, California
This is the Brady Bunch house.
It is located at 11222 Dilling Street in North Hollywood, California.
The Brady Bunch was a wholesome, family-friendly sitcom that ran on ABC between 1969 and 1974.
It was canceled in 1975 and then leased to other networks via broadcast syndication. From that point on, it became a standard TV show on channels all across the world.
The series followed the trials and tribulations of the Bradys, a large blended family that lived at "4222 Clinton Way" in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
Although the exterior shots of the Brady home were filmed at this address, all of the interior scenes were produced on a sound stage at Paramount Television Studios. This is extremely common in film and TV production, as it is expensive and time-consuming to move filming between different places.
Interestingly, many of the cast members didn't visit the residence until years after the sitcom had ended.
The show's creator, Sherwood Schwartz, selected this location for the establishing shots because it looked like the type of house that Mike (an architect) would own.
The TV channel HGTV purchased the property for $3.5 million in 2018 and made it the subject of a reality miniseries called "A Very Brady Renovation", which transformed the interior to match the original layout of the Brady home.
In May 2023, it was listed for sale for $5.5 million.
