Mac Miller's house in Studio City, LA

This is the house where rapper Mac Miller died from an overdose.

It is situated at 11659 Valleycrest Road in Studio City, California.

Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, was renting this four-bedroom house in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. He did not own it. Previously, he had also rented another property in Studio City between 2011 and 2014.

At around 11:35 a.m. on September 7th, 2018, Miller's personal assistant arrived at the residence and discovered him lying in an unresponsive state in the bedroom.

Although CPR was performed and paramedics arrived quickly, the 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene roughly 20 minutes later.

According to the coroner's report, Miller died from a toxic mixture of alcohol, cocaine, and a dangerous opioid called fentanyl.

In the past, the rapper had repeatedly struggled with drug addiction. In the months leading up to his death, he was also going through a highly publicized breakup with pop star Ariana Grande.

Mac Miller's house

This Google Street View image of Mac Miller's former house was captured in February of 2018.

It was taken seven months before his fatal overdose. At the time, he was still dating pop singer Ariana Grande.

As you can see, there were a lot of vehicles parked out front at the time. This is in stark contrast with the empty-looking Street View image that Google captured one year later—a somber reminder of just how quickly life can change.

Grande ended their relationship three months after this image was taken. According to the singer, she decided to break up with the rapper because things had turned toxic.

A week after their breakup, Miller crashed into a utility pole while under the influence and then fled the scene on foot. The vehicle that he drove that night was a white 2016 Mercedes G-Wagon. In the image above, you can see the Mercedes in question parked in front of the garage door. The sports car beside it is a BMW i8.
