The factory where Jeffrey Dahmer worked
Place of Interest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
This is the location where the Milwaukee Ambrosia Chocolate Factory once stood.
It is situated on North 5th Street.
Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer worked at this factory as a mixer between 1985 and 1991.
Dahmer worked the night shift at the factory, which was 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
After murdering Anthony Sears in 1989, he reportedly preserved his victim's head and kept it in his work locker.
He was eventually fired from his job in June 1991 after he kept turning up late.
One month after he was fired, the police arrested him at his apartment on North 25th Street.
The factory closed down in 1992 after the company decided to relocate to a new facility on Carmen Avenue. By that stage, Dahmer had already been sentenced to life in prison for his crimes.
Following its closure, the building was razed. These days, all that remains is an empty lot.
