Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer lived in this apartment building for a short period of time in 1988.
He moved to North 24th Street in September 1988 after his grandmother asked him to leave her house in West Allis. By that stage, she had grown tired of her grandson's drinking and "odd" behavior.
Although none of his victims were murdered at this address, this was the location where he drugged and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy.
After pleading guilty to the crime, he was sentenced to one year in jail (with work release) and five years' probation.
In March 1989, he moved back to his grandmother's house.
It wasn't until 1990 that he started living at the notorious Oxford Apartments.
