This is the location where rapper XXXTentacion (Jahseh Onfroy) was shot dead during an armed robbery.
It is situated on NE 37th Street in Pompano Beach, Florida.
On June 18th, 2018, the 20-year-old was fatally shot as he was exiting the RIVA Motorsports dealership.
As XXXTentacion was driving out of this entrance, a dark-colored SUV suddenly pulled up in front of his black BMW i8 and blocked him off.
At that point, two armed men in hoodies jumped out and ordered him to hand over his belongings. However, the rapper seemingly refused to give in to their demands.
For a short while, the two men wrestled with him through the driver's side window. During the struggle, they managed to steal the rapper's chain and a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 in cash.
Immediately after grabbing the items, one of the attackers took two steps back from the vehicle and opened fire.
XXXTentacion was hit multiple times in the neck and left in critical condition. Following the shooting, he was rushed to the North Broward Medical Center in Deerfield Beach, where he was pronounced dead two hours later.
Following the shooting, four men were arrested and charged with his murder.
In August 2022, Allen was allowed to plead guilty to the lesser charge of second-degree murder in exchange for testimony against the other three co-defendants.
During his testimony, he admitted that the group had followed the rapper that day. After confirming that XXXTentacion was inside the dealership, they spent ten minutes waiting for him to leave.
On March 20th, 2023, the other three men were convicted of first-degree murder.
Boatwright was given two consecutive life sentences, plus an additional 30 years. Newsome and Williams were both sentenced to life in prison.
The three men were denied the possibility of parole, which means that they will die in prison unless the state governor makes the unlikely decision to pardon them.
In exchange for his cooperation, Allen was sentenced to 7 years in prison with credit for time served, as well as 20 years probation.

Robbery

At the time, XXXTentacion was planning to turn right towards North Dixie Highway.
His assailants parked on NE 37th Street and spent 10 minutes waiting for him to exit the dealership. When they saw the rapper's BMW leaving the exit, they quickly pulled out in front of him and cut him off.
The sudden nature of the ambush left XXXTentacion dazed.
Confused, he shouted, "What is this for?"
While the robbery was taking place, the rapper's friend, Leonard Kerr, jumped out of the passenger-side door and ran back towards the dealership.
Online reports initially suggested that XXXTentacion's uncle was the man sitting in the passenger seat. However, that information was incorrect.
XXXTentacion's killers
Williams (22), Boatwright (22), and Newsome (20) were all found guilty of the premeditated murder of XXXTentacion.
The three men were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The fourth man, Robert Allen (22), was given a seven-year sentence after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in exchange for testimony against the other three co-defendants.
Investigators believe that it was Boatwright who opened fire on the rapper. Newsome is suspected of being the second gunman.
Allen testified that the four men followed XXXTentacion in their Dodge Journey SUV after he made a cash withdrawal from Bank of America. They then continued to keep the rapper under surveillance while he was inside RIVA Motorsports.
Security cameras inside the dealership captured Williams and Allen walking past their target while he was speaking to a salesman.
The two men had been sent in to confirm the rapper's identity. After confirming that he was inside, they proceeded to purchase ski masks.

A security camera recorded Williams and Allen walking by the rapper while he was talking to a salesman. XXXTentacion's friend, Leonard Kerr, was also visible in the background.
Judging by older photographs, XXXTentacion was a regular visitor to the dealership.
Initially, three of the men were reluctant to go through with the robbery, as they were aware that Williams and Allen had been captured by the store's surveillance cameras.
However, they decided to stick with the plan after Williams accused them of being scared.
In that fateful moment, it appears as though they allowed their egos to get the better of them.
