This is the location where Gareth Hutch was murdered.

It is situated at Avondale House on North Cumberland Street in Rotunda, Dublin.

Hutch was the nephew of Gerry Hutch, an Irish criminal who was charged but later acquitted of the 2016 murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel.

Byrne's death led to a bloody feud between the Kinahan Cartel and the Hutch Gang.

In the weeks and months that followed, the Kinahans began targeting gang associates and innocent relatives of Gerry Hutch.

At around 10 a.m. on May 24th, 2016, Gareth Hutch walked to his car in this parking lot outside the Avondale House apartment building. While he was opening the driver-side door, two hooded gunmen sprinted around the corner and shot him four times.

Two handguns were later recovered at the scene.

In November 2018, Jonathan Keogh, Thomas Fox, and Regina Keogh were all found guilty of Hutch's murder and sentenced to life in prison. It is believed that Keogh was the gunman who fired the fatal shots.

The prosecution successfully argued that Keogh's sister, Regina, was instrumental in the planning of the shooting. During her sentencing, Justice Hunt said that she had "colluded to provide intentional and substantial assistance" to the gunmen.
