On September 12th, 2023, footprints matching his prison shoes were discovered at the side of Pennsylvania Route 100 in South Coventry Township, Chester County.
After honing in on this area, the authorities used a DEA aircraft fitted with a thermal heat camera to search the ground from above.
The following day, a Border Patrol Tactical Unit dog found Cavalcante hiding near a pile of logs behind this agricultural machinery store.
Cavalcante is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2021 murder of his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Brandão.
Following his capture, he was immediately sent back to a state correctional institute to serve out the remainder of his sentence.
