This is the headquarters building from the supernatural comedy film Ghostbusters (1984).

It is located at 14 North Moore Street in Manhattan, New York.

In real life, it is a fire station called Hook & Ladder Company 8.

This building was selected as the headquarters of the Ghostbusters because the writers envisioned the team as a public service that responded to emergency calls about paranormal activity.

Actor and writer Dan Aykroyd was also familiar with this area of Manhattan and reportedly liked the look of the firehouse.

Note that the building was only used for exterior shots. All of the interior scenes were filmed at a studio in Los Angeles.

In more recent times, the firehouse has embraced its history by hanging a Ghostbusters sign above the main entrance.
