King Von death location

This is the location where King Von was shot dead.

It is situated outside of 257 Trinity Avenue SW in Atlanta, Georgia.

The rapper, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, achieved national fame in 2020 following the release of his debut studio album, "Welcome to O'Block".

The album reached the top five of the US Billboard 200 chart and was later certified gold.

King Von never really got the chance to experience mainstream success, as he was gunned down just eight days after the album was released.

At around 3 a.m. on November 6th, 2020, an altercation broke out between King Von's crew and the entourage of another rapper called Quando Rondo.

The two groups reportedly started arguing outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge on Trinity Avenue.

Within seconds, the argument became physical, and both sides started trading punches.

Surveillance footage showed that Von was heavily involved in the fight. In the video, he and his crew can be seen surrounding and attacking a man who is struggling to stay on his feet.

When the attack spilled off the sidewalk, a gunman suddenly appeared from behind a parked vehicle and fired two shots.

Von was struck in the torso and collapsed in the middle of the street.

A few minutes later, his associates picked him up off the ground and placed him in a private car. He was then driven to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner said that the cause of death was "gunshot wounds to the torso and thighs".

Following the shooting, rumors spread on social media that the 26-year-old rapper had been killed by a police officer. Although patrol officers from the Atlanta Police Department did open fire on some of the gunmen at the scene, surveillance footage proved that Von had been fatally wounded during the initial altercation. By the time the second shootout occurred, he was already en route to the hospital.

A rapper named Lul Tim (Timothy Leeks) was charged with Von's murder. However, the charges were eventually dropped in August 2023.

Reports suggest that prosecutors now believe that King Von was killed in self-defense, as Leeks opened fire while the rapper and his crew were beating a man on the ground.

In many US states, a person is justified in using force in defense of another if it prevents their death or "great bodily injury".

A similar outcome occurred following the killing of D12 rapper Proof, as the gunman in that shooting was also determined to have acted in defense of another.

A rapper named Lul Tim (pictured right) was charged with the murder of King Von (pictured left). However, the charges were eventually dropped due to Georgia's stand-your-ground law.

Von was no stranger to violence, as he was a person of interest in several killings. In 2014, he was questioned in relation to two separate shootings. He was also arrested in connection with a shooting and robbery that took place in February 2019.

In 2023, a widely acclaimed YouTube documentary called "King Von: Rap's First Serial Killer" alleged that the rapper had committed at least 10 gang-related murders and that he may have ordered several more. The three-hour documentary, which was uploaded by Trap Lore Ross, showed that Von even took to Twitter to take credit for the killings.
