The house from Get Out (2017)

This is the house from the psychological horror film Get Out (2017).

It is located at 6892 Heathcroft Lane in Fairhope, Alabama.

At the start of the film, a black photographer named Chris Washington travels to this house to visit the family of his white girlfriend, Rose Armitage.

The movie takes place on a rural property in Upstate New York. However, in real life, the house is situated in Fairhope, near Mobile, Alabama.

When the couple arrives, Chris immediately begins to get strange vibes. Rose's parents are excessively friendly and considerate, while their black housekeepers seem odd.

Although Chris can't put his finger on it, he knows that something isn't quite right.

Things take a strange turn when Rose's mother, Missy, hypnotizes Chris and sends him to the "Sunken Place" in an apparent bid to help him quit smoking.

The following day, a group of wealthy white people arrive for the Armitage family's annual get-together.

One of the attendees is a young black man named Logan King, who is married to an elderly white woman. When Chris sees Logan, he pats him on the back and says, "Good to see another brother around here." However, Logan reacts strangely and responds to him in an overly formal manner.

During the party, the flash on Chris' phone goes off while he is trying to take a sneaky photograph of Logan to send to his friend. The flash immediately affects Logan, as he freezes and blood begins to drip from his nose.

Seconds later, he charges at Chris, grabs him, and repeatedly shouts, "Get out!"

Although the other guests claim Logan's behavior was caused by an epileptic seizure, Chris isn't buying it. Feeling on edge, he privately informs Rose that he wants to return home earlier than planned.

While the couple is discussing the matter, the viewer learns that there is something deeply sinister about the Armitage family's "get-together".

Although it is situated in Alabama, the director, Jordan Peele, wanted to avoid the cliche of a racist family from the Deep South. He felt that it would be far more interesting to have the movie take place in a liberal blue state.
