Marlo's park from The Wire - Filming Location.

This is the filming location of Marlo's park from The Wire.

The entrance is situated at 1600 Faith Lane in Baltimore, Maryland.

This is the place where Marlo Stanfield and his crew hang out and hold court.

When someone needs to talk to the ruthless drug lord, they are searched near the entrance and then escorted down to the concrete skate park on the right.

Notably, people's phones are confiscated before they can enter.

The gang uses this location because it is out in the open and difficult to bug. Their anti-surveillance techniques frustrate detective Jimmy McNulty and the rest of the team, leaving them with no other option but to photograph the operation from afar.

Although the detectives try to be as covert as possible, Marlo is well aware that they are watching.

The court.

Episode 1, Season 5 - More With Less

Marlo's court

A local drug dealer is escorted down to the concrete area where Marlo Stanfield is holding court.

"The split needs to be fair."

split needs to be fair

The dealer tells Marlo that he will take his "package", but that the split "needs to be fair."

He argues that it's not enough for him to be able to pay his people.

However, Marlo doesn't budge. Instead, he tells him to either pay his people less or take it out of his own cut.

He then warns him about what will happen if he doesn't accept it:

"The split is 60/40. You want better? You need to tool up. Or wait for Chris, Snoop, and the rest of my people to come pay a call on your people."

"We will be brief with all you mothaf*ckas."

At that point, Felicia "Snoop" Pearson weighs in:

"We will be brief with all you mothaf*ckas. I think you know."

The dealer is led away.

The dealer has no choice but to accept the 60/40 split. He knows that Stanfield's gang is far too powerful to go to war with.

After reluctantly saying, "Alright", he is escorted back to the entrance.

Surveillance.

Jimmy McNulty

While all of this is unfolding, Jimmy McNulty and another detective are taking photographs from a nearby roof.

However, Marlo is aware of their presence. Later, he laughs and tells his enforcer, Chris Partlow, that one of "the young'uns" saw the "white boy with the black hair" climbing up onto the roof.

This aerial image highlights where McNulty was in relation to Marlo's crew.

The distance is not shown in the show because it's hilariously close (it would be impossible not to see McNulty's head peering over the ledge).

Monk tells Marlo about Bodie.

Episode 13, Season 4 - Final Grades

Meeting

Marlo sits down with his lieutenants, Chris Partlow and Monk Metcalf.

In this scene, Monk tells them that he saw Bodie Broadus jumping into a car "with a white dude" after he was released from central booking.

Fearing that he might be snitching, they decide to kill him.

Marlo Stanfield.

Marlo Stanfield

He is ruthless, calculating, and intelligent—a combination that makes him a fearsome gangster.
