Place of Interest in Tucson, Arizona, United States
This is the location where rapper Lil Peep was found dead.
It is situated at 136 North Park Avenue in Tucson, Arizona.
On the night of November 15th, 2017, the "emo rapper", whose real name was Gustav Elijah Åhr, was discovered in an unresponsive state on his tour bus.
At the time, the bus was parked outside of "The Rock" bar in Tucson, Arizona, where the 21-year-old was due to perform.
That evening, the rapper fell asleep after taking Xanax pills and an opioid painkiller called fentanyl.
According to Lil Peep's management team, they checked on him three times. The first two times, they could see that he was breathing OK. However, they were unable to wake him up.
During the third check, they realized that Åhr had stopped breathing and decided to commence CPR.
Unfortunately, it was too late. When paramedics arrived, they were unable to revive him. Shortly afterwards, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
One month later, an autopsy report confirmed that the 21-year-old Pennsylvania native had died from an accidental overdose.

Lil Peep's bus

This is a Google Street View image of "The Rock" on North Park Avenue. It was taken in April of 2019.

That night, Åhr was supposed to perform at the venue. Sadly, he never woke up from his pre-concert "nap".
Coincidentally, Lil Peep had his first live performance as a rapper at "Gary's Place" in Tucson on February 13th, 2016. The site in question is just 2.5 miles away from this location.
Overdose

In the hours before his overdose, Åhr uploaded Snapchat videos of himself taking pills. Members of his entourage also posted footage of him "sleeping".
In one of the videos, Peep's friend "Bexey" sarcastically joked that the rapper was working out in the back of the bus. He then cut to Åhr, who was passed out on the sofa.
At the time, Bexey did not realize that Peep was overdosing.
Following his death, there were online rumors that the 21-year-old had unknowingly taken Xanax pills that were laced with fentanyl. However, these claims have never been proven.
His first show took place at Gary's Place in Tucson

Lil Peep's first show took place at Gary's Place in Tucson on February 13th, 2016. That night, he performed as part of a rap group called Schemaposse.
This eerie coincidence means that Gustav Åhr's career ended in the exact same town where it started.
A full circle, so to speak.
Gary's Place closed its doors in 2016. Judging by Google Street View, the premises was demolished in late 2020 or early 2021.
