Tanya Denise Jackson's apartment
Place of Interest in Brooklyn, New York
This is Tanya Denise Jackson's former apartment.
It is located at 230 54th Street in Brooklyn, New York.
Jackson was a Gilgo Beach homicide victim who was formerly known as Peaches.
Jackson's torso was discovered at Hempstead Lake State Park in Lakeview, New York, on Saturday, June 28th, 1997. She was nicknamed "Peaches" because she had a tattoo of a peach on her chest.
Her killer had placed her remains in a green Rubbermaid tote container, pulled over to the side of the road, and then dumped it just inside the treeline.
In April 2011, Jackson's extremities (arms and legs) were found in the bushes off Ocean Parkway, near Jones Beach State Park on Long Island. Around the same time, the police discovered the skeletal remains of a female toddler near Gilgo Beach, along the same stretch of highway.
DNA testing later revealed that "Peaches" was the mother of the toddler.
Jackson and her daughter, Tatiana Dykes (2), remained unidentified until April 2025, when the Nassau County Police Department released their names to the public. Investigators had positively identified them the previous year using genetic genealogy.

During their press conference, the police said that Jackson was living at this address in 1997—the same year as her murder.
They also said that she was "possibly" working at a doctor's office and that they had received reports that a female friend or neighbor "might" have watched Tatiana while she worked.
