The gas station where Phil Leotardo was killed
Filming Location in Morris Plains, New Jersey
This is the location where Phil Leotardo was shot dead in The Sopranos.
In the show, FBI agent Harris states that the gas station is situated in Oyster Bay, Long Island. However, in real life, it is located at 1701 NJ-10 in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
In the series finale, the Lupertazzi boss pulls into this gas station with his wife, Patty, and their two grandchildren.
After getting out of the vehicle, Phil tells his wife that he is going to make a phone call and that he will meet her afterwards at the drug store.
While he is talking with Patty through the passenger's window, New Jersey soldier Walden Belfiore walks up to him from the side and shoots him point-blank in the head.
When Phil falls to the floor, Belfiore fires another round into his chest and then leaves.
Following the shooting, Patty jumps out of the vehicle to help her husband. However, she is so panicked that she forgets to put the car in "Park".
As a result, the Ford Expedition slowly rolls over Phil's head.
While all of this is unfolding, onlookers at the gas station recoil in horror. One teenager even starts to vomit.
This is probably one of the most satisfying scenes in The Sopranos, as we finally get to see Phil paying the price for starting the War of 2007.

Agent Harris tells Tony about Phil's whereabouts
Episode 21, Season 6 - Made in America
FBI agent Dwight Harris calls Tony and informs him that they have traced Phil Leotardo's location back to Oyster Bay, Long Island.
When Tony asks for an exact location, Harris tells him that he is probably using a payphone at a gas station. In his opinion, Phil might be unable to get his hands on a clean burner phone.
After receiving this tip-off, Tony immediately orders his associates to start scoping out gas stations in Oyster Bay.
"Mid-sixties, probably used the payphones."
In this scene, "Little Paulie" impersonates a police detective and shows Phil's photograph to a gas station employee.
During the conversation, he learns that most stations in the area don't have payphones anymore.
Raceway
Phil's silver Ford Expedition pulls into the Raceway gas station.
"Bye bye! Wave bye bye, grandpa."
Before exiting the vehicle, Phil waves goodbye to his two grandchildren in the back seat.
"I just gotta make a phone call."
Phil stands at the passenger's side window and informs his wife that he is going to make a phone call. He then tells her to meet him afterwards at the drug store.
A gun appears
While Phil is busy giving his wife instructions on what to say to the pharmacist, DiMeo crime family soldier Walden Belfiore creeps up on him from the side and shoots him point-blank in the head.
Like many hits in the Sopranos universe, his death is swift and brutal.
