This is the location where actor Leslie Jordan crashed and died after suffering a cardiac arrest.

It is situated at 946 North Cahuenga Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

The accident took place at roughly 9.30 a.m. on October 24th, 2022, while Jordan was driving to work.

The actor lost control of his BMW while he was heading northbound on Cahuenga Boulevard.

As he approached the intersection with Romaine Street, his car suddenly veered to the right and crashed into the metal veneer on the side of this building.

The actor suddenly veered off to his right.

When the paramedics arrived, the 67-year-old had no pulse. Following 40 minutes of CPR, he was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

Although it wasn't clear what caused the accident, the authorities were quick to express their belief that Jordan had suffered a medical emergency.

This is because the limited damage to the front of the vehicle indicated that he wasn't driving at a fast speed.

Crash location
This aerial image shows the direction he was driving when his car veered to the right. Judging by the limited damage to the front of the BMW, it seems as though he was driving at a relatively slow speed. This, coupled with the sudden loss of control, indicated that the actor had died from a health condition instead of the actual collision.

Medical emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks, and fainting are a relatively common cause of car accidents. For example, in 2011, wrestling legend Randy Savage suffered a heart attack and crashed into a tree while he was driving in Seminole, Florida.

The passenger-side wheel was badly damaged, but the front of the vehicle was in relatively good shape. Modern cars are designed to crumple at the front and back. The "crumple zone" is a safety feature that helps absorb the impact. However, in this case, Jordan wasn't going fast enough to activate the feature.

In the weeks preceding the accident, Jordan had scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist after he began experiencing shortness of breath.

In January 2023, the coroner's office confirmed that the actor had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest due to arteriosclerosis, which is a cardiovascular disease that causes the arteries to harden.

Although he was taking heart medication, one of his arteries was 80% blocked.

Crash site
The BMW crashed into the side of this commercial unit at 946 North Cahuenga Boulevard. At the time of the accident, he was driving to a filming set at the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank, California, to work on the sitcom Call Me Kat. In the show, he portrayed Phil, a recently single gay man who works alongside the main character, Kat, at a "cat cafe" in Louisville. Following his death, Fox announced that it was pausing production of the sitcom.

Following the removal of Jordan's car, his fans paid their respects by leaving flowers and handwritten notes at the crash site.

The beloved actor, who rose to fame as Beverley Leslie on the sitcom Will & Grace, had recently picked up a huge following on social media. In 2020, he began uploading humorous videos to Instagram, many of which were shared across other platforms such as TikTok and Facebook.

At the time of his death, he had more than 5.8 million followers.
