Frank Cali's house
This is the former home of mob boss Frank Cali.
It is located at 25 Hilltop Terrace on Staten Island, New York.
Known as "Franky Boy," Cali became a prominent figure in the Gambino family by generating significant revenue. Many considered him the future of the organization.
He first appeared on the FBI's radar in 1996, after he managed a phone card fraud scheme for the Gambino crime family. Shortly afterward, he was inducted into the organization as a made man.
His status rose as he generated millions of dollars for the family and forged deals with Mafia members in Sicily.
Over the years, he reportedly amassed significant wealth through illicit activities such as loan sharking, gambling, and drug trafficking. He also had financial interests in the food and construction industries.
His reputation was further strengthened when he married Rosaria Inzerillo, who was related to several high-ranking members of the Sicilian Mafia.

Cali was described as a "ghost" who maintained a low profile. Although the FBI tailed him and kept him under heavy surveillance, they arrested him only once. In that case, he pleaded guilty to extortion and received a short prison sentence.
In 2011, informants reported that he had been appointed underboss of the Gambino family, a role that put him second-in-command.
Four years later, Mafia journalist Jerry Capeci reported that the 50-year-old had replaced Domenico Cefalù as the boss of the family. Cefalù had allegedly decided to step down due to his age.

On the night of March 13, 2019, Anthony Comello crashed his pickup truck into Cali's Cadillac Escalade, which was parked outside the residence in Todt Hill.
When Cali went outside to investigate, the pair spoke briefly and even shook hands. However, when Cali turned to go back inside, Comello opened fire and shot him multiple times.
Following the shooting, the Gambino boss was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was pronounced dead.
Initially, it appeared that New York had witnessed its first mob boss hit since the 1985 killing of Paul Castellano. However, it soon emerged that Comello wasn't a hitman. Instead, he was a paranoid conspiracy theorist who believed the CIA had infiltrated the Gambino family.
During questioning, the 24-year-old gave several erratic motives for the killing. In one interview, he claimed that he had gone to the mobster's home to arrest him and turn him over to the military. In another, he said that the family of former Gambino boss John Gotti had ordered the shooting.
In June 2020, Comello was deemed mentally unfit to stand trial. Consequently, proceedings were suspended while he awaited further evaluation at a mental health facility.
During this time, organized crime members reportedly made threats against Comello and his family. Strangers also began reaching out to relatives on social media and inquiring about his whereabouts.
In January 2025, it was reported that the case had been resolved in a sealed proceeding.
Comello pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was given an undisclosed prison sentence. His whereabouts have not been publicly released.
