McDonald's arrest
On the morning of December 9, 2024, a customer at this McDonald's restaurant on East Plank Road recognized Mangione's face and alerted one of the employees. When the police arrived, he was eating a hash brown in the corner.
HI New York City Hostel
Prosecutors believe Mangione arrived in Manhattan on a Greyhound bus on November 24, 2024, roughly 10 days before the shooting. After exiting the Port Authority Bus Terminal, he made his way to the Upper West Side, where he checked into the HI New York City Hostel at 891 Amsterdam Avenue. During the check-in process, a security camera in the lobby captured his unmasked face.
